I wanna go to Walnut Hill!

Sun Oct 16, 2005, 9:04 PM
Well, lately, I've been looking so much into performing arts schools.

It just was a topic on a message board then it clicked! I'm good at drawing(I don't like my art on here though), so I can major in visual arts at a performing arts high school! Plus, I've been in plays, I play an instrument, I do comp. art! I'm pretty fit to get into an art school. Besides that, I've won awards for my art(I don't just randomly know how to draw). I even designed a logo for a graduating class in my old school. I've also won awards for my instrument, and I just got into an audition-only concert(23rd chair, but still).

Walnut Hill is probably my ideal school to go to. Hopefully I can get in on a scholarship, because some of my family is not hugely rich. It is also a boarding school, which is hugely appealling to me plus it's kind of a must if I wanna/can go(Chicagoland Illinois is NOT close to Boston). The reason I WANT to go to a boarding school is to experience stuff on my own. I'm really cool with my parents, but I would leave to an entirely different place to go to a school as good as Walnut.

Oh yeah....

Well, today two awesome albums came out that I have full intent on getting. Fiona Apple has come out with an another AMAZING CD after 5 years I've been waiting so long for. It's called "Extrordinary Machine" and I know it's gonna be extrordinary. She's definately an all-time favorite. Also Franz Ferdinand's new album is really good. I definately can't give them credit at Fiona's level, but I've heard the CD, and I love it.

Damn you School!

Well, I've been wrapped up in schoolwork and have tried to escape bordom and get to some vectors, but no luck. Oh well....I try.....

A look into my life

Sun Sep 4, 2005, 12:30 PM
Well, started school last tuesday. It was basicly a big blur for some reason. Almost like a surreal nightmare....well, an "ok" nightmare...if that's possible. My classmates are "eh". Some of which I've known from last year, buddies, and then one's that are way too quiet. The best past-time in school is to act stupid when you can, but there's no sign of that from the quiet ones. Trust me, I'll deal =)

My acne is as annoying as hell. Luckily, I finally have a pretty smooth face. All the kinks aren't completely out, but good enough. Of course I needed some freakin proactiv, which does little if not any, but makes you feel good when you say you've used it(it's odd, I know). When schools starts, that's when acne has to hit the door, if that makes sense...

Through the years, months, or whatever they're called, I've dealt with not so flattering comments. Now, I feel I can keep calm seeing as they don't come TOO often. Of course because I'm black listening to rock(indie rock makes you even more alien), there's that one asshole that has to call you coconut or oreo, but obviously they're jealous of something. Well I feel just fine rockin' to some Koufax, Spoon, The Organ, or whoever I'm jaming to on my kickass green ipod mini.

Vector art is one of the few thing's that I enjoy being bored doing at times while I'm working on something. Seeing as this is a holiday weekend, I'm trying to get started on one, but I really want to tryout collabs right now. My chance of winning the Vexels.net competition dropped 50% by one user. Her names Shaz, and looking at the comments on the piece, she dropped the freakin atomic bomb on the competition, which means I'll most likely be dead.

This is quite fun, pouring out some thoughts straight from everyday life. I'll just do this all the time! Good for me, probably just a "little" tiring for readers.....

Vexels.net Competition, Here I come!

Thu Aug 25, 2005, 11:45 AM
Well, I'm currently greatly improving my vector skills...hopefully. I'm doing the current competition on vexels.net. I'm not telling my idea(which I'm sure most if not any will think of), but I'm sure it'll come out awesome. It will be posted on deviantart also as soon as it's finished. Got to get back to work!(even though since I'm a pro multi-tasker I'll be doing some interweb surfing at the same time, as I'm doing now).
